34 years old, studied 7 months, landed Frontend react dev job

@Arsikod
Yo man I wanted to chime in here. This was a really inspiring post for me. 27 yr/o Geologist here.

Worked a slave job for a year 4:30am-5/6:30pm+. Now I have a COMFORTABLE cush gov job making maps, also replaceable just a longer turn over.

Choose geology as a degree cause I like mountains and never looked back. Wishing I had chosen math or programming cause those gave me the most trouble and excitement while in school.

Anyways I am going after a similar for that challenge and excitement. Coding gives me the same feels I get from powerlifting or skating, embracing the suck is kinda my thing.

I do not want to settle in a job and get comfortable. I actually found my spark at work cause I handle DBs and linux a loooooot and was lost at sea when I first started scripting or learning basic commands. You started your job about the time I started my gov job. Hopefully I can land a similar spot before the end of the year.

Congrats! How is the job now a days since its been almost a year?
