The forum has been growing fast. And we recently discovered some inefficiencies in the way we route things between our servers. These are occasionally bringing the forum to a halt.
The good news: we think we know what’s causing this, and are working to fix it. And this problem is only affecting the forum. It shouldn’t result in any data loss - just problems reaching the server.
We’re in the process of re-routing everything, but it’s a big project. It may take several days.
In the meantime, we’re slapping on band-aids where possible to try and keep the forum from falling over completely.
Some quick tips:
- If you are signed in, be sure not to sign out. You may not be able to sign back in.
- If you’re getting a server error or a message about “too many connections from your IP address” and you have a VPN service, try switching it to a different country. This may help you get around these issues.
