Anyone keeping a blog of their FCC + web development experiences?

Nicee! People are interested in these!

I’m actually thinking of doing algorithm posts as well, aha. :smile_cat:

I don’t update it as often as I would like, and I may be transitioning to my own Jekyll-based blog, but for now this is where I am tracking my coding journey:

I just recently built my personal website on Jekyll along with my blog: http://williamruz.com/blog/. I only have two posts in there so far about my coding experience but plan to put more.

Cheers, and Happy coding

This is a really cool website!! thanks

It would be awesome if i can do something like this for FCC but they already have a solutions page… but only from one sources

it has quality but not quantity… and i think that quantity would help with overall quality

It’s great! In your article you said you hosted your website with github. I used github.io domain, but don’t know how to use github to host on my custom domain. Can you help me with providing some link to tutorial or something you used?

Hi theecarls, I started a blog a few weeks ago on WordPress to chronicle the journey of learning code and career change from a life experience perspective. The link is https://transitionnext.wordpress.com

I purchased my custom domain on namecheap. The whole process of integrating it with Github is pretty simple. check out this quick tutorial for help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUChaN-VRIc

I know it’s an old thread, but if someone is (still) interested, I recently started to blog about my front end development studies on Medium: https://medium.com/@LuigiBenvenuti

I never thought to keep a blog of my experiences, but… this made me think it’d be a good idea to do so.

I’ll do my best to keep this up to date, and since I’m still new and only just finished the Bootstrap challenges, this is almost as close to “just started” blog that you can get: https://nightcamper.wordpress.com/

Thank you for the great idea!

I keep a different type of journal, in onenote I just have a log of what Im learning, a list of what I have planned, and a sidebar of things to touch up on.

The colour coding is pink for major events, yellow for sub tasks Ive started, green for completed and blue for projects completed. That way I can see at a glance what Ive done and where I am so I can decide what to tackle next. Not a whole lot of commentary, just a couple one liners here and there.

Thus far my posts are only occasional and mostly python-related but hopefully of use to beginners: Memories of the Fine Print

My blog is mostly on electronics projects, but every once in a while I throw in one of my programming projects (like an icon generator for graphic calculator assembly shells, or something like that).

Mine is http://www.khaibui.com/my-journal but it’s not that detailed

Mine is really basic as I’ve only been coding for just over a week…

I’ve wanted to start a blog for a long time, and after a few false starts, I’ve finally got one going. I’m expecting readership to be low, but I’ve heard writing about programming can be a good learning experience, which although only two entries in, I’ve found so far to be true.

It’s mostly about my experiences reconciling an unconventional (and typically disregarded) background in traditional fine arts with engineering: https://painterprogramming.wordpress.com/

I hope to build my own custom solution with Flask and build it into my portfolio site in the future, but WordPress will work for now.
