I have been trying to determine what this subgenre of ambient music is for months with no luck.

@noblegas87 Game scores have all sorts of different genre’s that is what most of this music comes from is video game soundtracks. If you like this kind of music for coding just look up video game soundtracks and try listening to a bunch of different game sound tracks. Not all soundtracks are the same genre, so this is kind of a hard question to answer.
