Button won't work on mobile

Hello,

I’m working on the wiki viewer and can’t seem to get the button to search working on mobile with codepen. I tried adding the touchstart event for mobile but that seemed to do nothing and not give me any errors in the console?

Any ideas on this?

This worked for me on a Motorola Moto G5 + running nougat.
