I got half of this lesson right, but can’t figure out how to solve with my current code
—Add a within your submit button element and the.
—Give the text input in your form the class form-control

Below is my code:

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
  }

  .thick-green-border {
    border-color: green;
    border-width: 10px;
    border-style: solid;
    border-radius: 50%;
  }

</style>

<div class="container-fluid">
  <div class="row">
    <div class="col-xs-8">
      <h2 class="text-primary text-center">CatPhotoApp</h2>
    </div>
    <div class="col-xs-4">
      <a href="#"><img class="img-responsive thick-green-border" src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. "></a>
    </div>
  </div>
  <img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-running-cats" class="img-responsive" alt="Three kittens running towards the camera. ">
  <div class="row">
    <div class="col-xs-4">
      <button class="btn btn-block btn-primary"><i class="fa fa-thumbs-up"></i> Like</button>
    </div>
    <div class="col-xs-4">
      <button class="btn btn-block btn-info"><i class="fa fa-info-circle"></i> Info</button>
    </div>
    <div class="col-xs-4">
      <button class="btn btn-block btn-danger"><i class="fa fa-trash"></i> Delete</button>
    </div>
  </div>
  <p>Things cats <span class="text-danger">love:</span></p>
  <ul>
    <li>cat nip</li>
    <li>laser pointers</li>
    <li>lasagna</li>
  </ul>
  <p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
  <ol>
    <li>flea treatment</li>
    <li>thunder</li>
    <li>other cats</li>
  </ol>
  <form action="/submit-cat-photo">
    <div class="row">
      <div class="col-xs-6">
        <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Indoor</label>
      </div>
      <div class="col-xs-6">
        <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Outdoor</label>
      </div>
    </div>
    <div class="row">
      <div class="col-xs-4">
        <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Loving</label>
      </div>
      <div class="col-xs-4">
        <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Lazy</label>
      </div>
      <div class="col-xs-4">
        <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Crazy</label>
      </div>
    </div>
    <input type="text" class=form control
        placeholder="cat photo URL" required>

    <button type="submit" class="btn btn-primary">Submit
            <i class="fa-paper-plane"Submit</i></button>
  </form>
</div>

Thanks!

You forgot the "s around the class name and you have a typo in it.

#3

Hi,

Thanks for answering.

I placed in the missing hypen for the form control . Is that the typo?

However, could you please show me the line where I forgot the "s around the class name because what I’m trying is still not working?

Thanks.

When you add a class to an element it needs to be

<elementName class="classname">stuff</elementName>

Look at the places where you added a class and see if you can spot the difference.

Hi,

Oh, my goodness, I am so dumb. I see it. Thanks for your patience and help.

What you just did is a huge part of the development project. :slight_smile:

I know some of the questions that I ask probably sound stupid, but this is all completely new to me. I even got out a library book on bootstap and have been trying to help myself understand. The only problem is that some things the way they do things are different in the book. However, I truly appreciate any and all help because I want to really learn this. Thank you again so much!
