Tell us what’s happening:

Hi There,

I am stuck on this challenge. I’m not sure where I need to place the attribute.

Please see below.

Thanks in advance!

Your code so far

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
  .red-text {
    color: red;
  }

  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, monospace;
  }

  p {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-family: monospace;
  }

  .thick-green-border {
    border-color: green;
    border-width: 10px;
    border-style: solid;
    border-radius: 50%;
  }

  .smaller-image {
    width: 100px;
  }

  .silver-background {
    background-color: silver;
  }
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>
  <p class="red-text">Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>

  <a href="#"><img class="smaller-image thick-green-border" src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

  <div class="silver-background">
    <p>Things cats love:</p>
    <ul>
      <li>cat nip</li>
      <li>laser pointers</li>
      <li>lasagna</li>
    </ul>
    <p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
    <ol>
      <li>flea treatment</li>
      <li>thunder</li>
      <li>other cats</li>
    </ol>
  </div>

  <form action="/submit-cat-photo" id="cat-photo-form">
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor" checked> Indoor</label>
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Outdoor</label><br>
    <label><input type= ['checkbox'] {margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;} name="personality" checked> Loving</label>
    <label><input type= ['checkbox'] {margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;} name="personality"> Lazy</label>
    <label><input type=['checkbox'] {margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;} name="personality"> Energetic</label><br>

[type=“checkbox”] {
margin-top: 10px;
margin-bottom: 15px;
}

use this one anywhere but not inside another css selector

#3

Can you explain further please?

It doesn’t look like I placed the CSS selector inside another CSS selector.

Tracey

You shouldn’t do this, it’s wrong,

<input type= ['checkbox'] {margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;} name="personality" checked>Loving
<input type= ['checkbox'] {margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;} name="personality"> Lazy
<input type=['checkbox'] {margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 15px;} name="personality"> Energetic

There should be only type=“checkbox” you should not apply inline styling and also you did inline-style in a wrong way.

Reset your code

and follow this from the example,

Example from the challenge:

[type='radio'] {
  margin: 20px 0px 20px 0px;
}

You should do similarly in your styling part, instead of radio above you should give checkbox and then change the values for margin as mentioned in the challenge.

margin: top right bottom left;

I figured it out and I have moved on to another assignment. I may be reaching out again if I can’t get pass the Inherit styles from body element assignment.

Thank you
