How to get work helping non-profits?

Hello,
Is there any way to get started on projects for charities without having all 3 certificates? I am bit confused on how it works, The website says

‘Once you finish the first 1,200 hours of challenges, you’ll get to build a series of solutions for nonprofits.’

Does this mean you need to do the whole 1200 hours?

Could I for example, just do the challenges for the back-end certificate and still be matched with a non-profit?

No. You need to do all the required challenges.
