Very inspirational! I am so glad to hear you are no longer in that cruel and negative work environment. Congratulations to you for having the courage and grit to continue pursuing your goals!

I am in a similar situation changing career paths, and it is very easy to get discouraged or think you will never learn enough to find employment. Itā€™s stories like these and the FCC community that continue to provide motivation for me. Thank you for sharing your story and best of luck in your new role. Awesome job!

I think that my fear with JS is fear of failing where you donā€™t understand anything you try to learn or that things will just not work out for you. I sitll havenā€™t done any projects in JS as I am still working in old restaurant (damn you notice periods!) and my health have been rather on decline but today I want to start making a meme room in JS!

I found FCC forum to be best as well, people are just so kind and patient! It sounds like you did quite a bit of JS, would love to see your projects. Thank you and all of the best for you too!

That thought have been haunting me quite frequently. One one of my lowest days, I felt really lost and upset. I have accidentally went onto one of sucess stories and it have motivated me a lot, hence idea of posting my story. I hope it will motivate people when they feel hopeless about their career. Thanks a lot for your kind words and good look with your career

Your story gives me hope. Iā€™ve been a hobbyist web developer since 2004, and 2 years ago, graduated from a polytechnic university where I specialised in web development. Iā€™ve never managed to get a job in web development though. The job situation isnā€™t so good in my part of the world. There are so many developers now and not many jobs, which is why companies all want years of professional experience in other companies (freelance is not counted). They wonā€™t even entertain work training, for free. But good for you. I hope you continue employment in this field.

You are impeccable. Donā€™t listen to anyone else. Just believe in yourself and do what your heart says. You were not born to prove someone who you are but rather to do what you want and accomplish your purpose.

Hi Irys,
It makes me so proud of you and happy that you finally found some hapiness! As I have done plenty of jobs who have made me unhappy I can very much relate to this, I am also not very social person moresoover online though I have been forcing myself to be myself on Twitter in 100daysofcode and freecodecamp community and to change myself! Maybe, you also give it a try. Many congrates again and hope you are treating yourself.
