Is anyone doing all this on a linux distro?

It doesn’t matter what system you use. At any system you will find a plenty of tool alternatives(ides, text editors etc).

@Tattomoosa ikr, I didn’t know up until few months that most servers run on Linux.

Yeah it hasn’t been easy at first but now I’m all settled. I have had some issues with chrome/chromium and gnome keyring but now I use vivaldi and it’s nice.

I use ubuntu 16.04. Why not just get google chrome for your OS?

I’m using Ubuntu 16.04.
Everything is great.

you can always pull down an nginx container from docker, mount the volume to your desktop and hack away (

I’m most of the way through the front-end course with no problems running Manjaro with Cinnamon desktop. I’ve tried Antegros, but it seems manjaro’s updates are a little more spread out and stable. They are both based on Arch and both amazng! best of luck!

Cause I’d like to do something more than install two apps on my PC

Cloud9 uses ubuntu. The later challenges encourage you to work on Cloud9. Need I say more?

FYI. I use ubuntu 14.04 with Gnome and sometimes Mint.

Skype now has a web client. So I can do everything I need to do on my Pixel.
