Is it worth going back to college to get into computer programming?

Don’t know if anyone already recommended it, but if the problem is cash, you can obtain a BsC in Computer Science from University of the People. They’re tuition free, online and accredited.

Ah, good ole’ Joel. Telling it like it is, while not acknowledging that his pedigree (Yale CS for a bachelor’s) got him good instruction and connected to other bright people. Facebook & Microsoft? Harvard. Google? Stanford.

I mean, he does acknowledge that very smart people, dynamic teachers of CS, taught him about the ins and out of pointer dereferencing, but if we take those two pieces of advice together:

Harvard’s CS50 is free. There are C groups out there in the age of social media. Local meetups can get you connected to those same people who spent 200K on their 1st-tier schools’ degree. And just like in comedy, being a good hang while being talented is key. And talent, to your point, comes with practice.

What kind of socialista utopia are you proposing!!!

Yikes, that’s pretty serious! I took some CS classes back in the day, and I was so bored at the impracticality of it.
All I wanted to do was do web pages. Now I’m 40 i truly wish I had the same resources now as back then. I know I would likely have taken software development and learned html! Which, back then, was nothing.

In any case, thanks everyone for the reference to Lambda. I just finished their test and am waiting for their response. In the meanwhile just flying by the fcc tests at my own pace.

In my opinion, there is no point in going back to college, because self-study can give much more progress and a positive result than studying in college.
But if you suddenly decide that you want to enter college, the service https://papersowl.com/admission-essay-writing-service can help you write a quality admission essay. They do everything well and professionally and it will help you a lot.
