You have at least two issues. Always look at your browser’s console (Ctrl+Shft+J in Chrome) so you can see if there are any errors showing there. I will give you a hint of how to figure out what your first big issue is. Inside your success function of the $.ajax call, put the following:

console.log(result);

so you can see what is in result. You have a syntax issue when using the FCC api url. You are not correctly building your querystring (the part after https://fcc-weather-api.glitch.me/api/current?). Review the the following link for how to make the Request. You are close, but are missing a couple things.

thank you for your response,i changed the url of the request,but i still have the same problem,as you told me .to do i put the console.log(result); inside the success function,is this issue have something to do with the data type?,since the response is a JSON data i changed data type to JSON,

Move your console.log statement to the top of the callback function. Since you error out before the console.log statement, it never executes. Your urlStr is not in the correct syntax shown in the example Request of the API documentation. Put the following console.log statement after you initialize urlStr and compare the syntax to the example Request syntax. You have some extra characters in there.

console.log(urlStr);
