Tell us what’s happening:

It says my p element should have the text "View more " (with a space after it). but it does have a space and I can’t see what’s wrong

Your code so far

<h2>CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>
<p>
Here's a <a target="View more  "
  <a href="http://freecatphotoapp.com"

  <p> link to "cat photos" </a> for you to follow. </p>

  </a>

  </p>
  <img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">

  <p>Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
  <p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>
</main>

I think you have copy pasted something from the assignment text.

  1. Reset the code.

  2. Put your cursor above the anchor tag, make an opening p tag and then write “View more” (don’t put the quotes).

  3. Put your cursor below the anchor tag and make a closing p tag.
