i cant seem to get my github website to work, its showing 404?

That’s because you don’t have a GitHub repo for your page yet. Check out https://guides.github.com/features/pages/ for how to get going with your website

it seems to work here https://ngas-wakefield.github.io/ngas.github.io/
but i only want it as ngas.github.io

Alright, I got your problem. You’d need to rename your repo here to ngas-wakefield.github.io because Github only allows username.github.io where username is your GitHub username. To quote Github’s documentation for the same,

If the first part of the repository doesn’t exactly match your username, it won’t work, so make sure to get it right.
