I started coding 3 days ago and I love it so far! Can’t wait to get back to school and do this for a living. I feel like everything I’m doing at the moment is thrown together and barely holding. I’m learning, but please critique my page, tear me apart if you have to!

Consider moving the CSS between the <style> tags to the CSS section. It has the advantage that you don’t have to scroll up and down the same editor to figure out how a class is styled.

Done. Thank you! I’m slowly picking up on details like this, I appreciate the advice.

Hi
The center element is deprecated:

<center> <!-- this -->
<img class="image thin-black-border" src="http://www.gocoastguard.com/sites/default/files/styles/homepage_slide/public/forum/uploads/home/slides/13768_cg_gocoastguard-slider_city_940x449_copy.jpg?itok=LzR3MswL" alt="45' smallboat patrolling NY harbor">
</center>

MDN documentarion:

Deprecated
This feature has been removed from the Web standards. Though some browsers may still support it, it is in the process of being dropped. Do not use it in old or new projects. Pages or Web apps using it may break at any time.

Cheers and happy coding :slight_smile:

I don’t think I’ve ever used <center>, but I didn’t know it’s deprecated.

Fixed! Thank you very much!

I love yours. Plus now I know who to blame for Helen Hunt.
