Pong Game: Make the two paddles move at the same time

Pong Game: Make the two paddles move at the same time
0

I watched on youtube the video “Learn Python by building games” and there I watched how to make the Pong Game. It was a very good tutorial, nevertheless, it did not explain how to move the paddles at the same time. In reality, that means a player can block the move of another and thereby increase his/her score.

I will leave the code of the game here. I would appreciate any help.

import turtle
import winsound

#Screen

wn = turtle.Screen()
wn.title("Pong game to have lots of fun :)")
wn.bgcolor("black")
wn.setup(width=800, height=600)
wn.tracer(0)

#Score

score_a = 0
score_b = 0

# Paddle A

paddle_a = turtle.Turtle()
paddle_a.speed(0)
paddle_a.shape("square")
paddle_a.color("white")
paddle_a.shapesize(stretch_wid=5,stretch_len=1)
paddle_a.penup()
paddle_a.goto(-350, 0)

# Paddle B

paddle_b = turtle.Turtle()
paddle_b.speed(0)
paddle_b.shape("square")
paddle_b.color("white")
paddle_b.shapesize(stretch_wid=5,stretch_len=1)
paddle_b.penup()
paddle_b.goto(350, 0)

# Ball

ball = turtle.Turtle()
ball.speed(0)
ball.shape("square")
ball.color("white")

ball.dy = -0.5

Welcome, Jose.

I have edited your post for readability. In the future, please place all of your code in backticks `. These are not the same as apostrophes '.

The keys for paddle movement are defined. Key press will be handled sequentially. Hope that answers the question why paddles will not move dynamically at same time.:slightly_smiling_face:
