Tribute page -- How to

Hi, campers.

When one writes a page with a lot of text, like these tribute pages, do you compose text right in the editor as you write the code? Or, do you write the narrative in a word program first and then, later, cut+paste the completed text as you write the code in an html editor?

The text is part of the code, so I write it in the same editor. That way I can add additional markup to some parts of the text as I type.
