Use the strong Tag to Make Text Bold Does not work

Screencap:

I think the page is broken because it won’t “read” the tag that is wrapped around “Stanford University.”

The instructions are:
Wrap a strong tag around “Stanford University” inside the p tag.

I enclosed Standford University within

<p>Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at **<strong>**Stanford University.**</strong>**</p>

And yet, after “test code” is clicked, it returns an error.

What am I missing?

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make easier to read.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard. The “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) will also add backticks around text.

Note: Backticks are not single quotes.

The period should not be in the strong tags. Only “Stanford University”.

Thanks, Ariel! So does this apply to ALL punctuation in addition to a period? the strong tag will NOT bold question marks, quotes, exclamation, comma, etc.?

The problem isn’t that the strong tag doesn’t work on punctuation. It’s a matter of the test requirements. The instructions and the tests for this challenge specifically want “Stanford University” (and only that) inside the tag.
