This is easy… Git. You can lose a whole day’s of work if a merge didn’t go as you expected and then as you try to fix it and try out different git commands you dig yourself deeper and deeper into a hole, then you finally said “Y” to a prompt, and poof!.. you have nothing to show for at the end of the day. You basically just rip and threw out and burned your whole day’s work. — don’t ask me how I know.

github is just one proprietary interface.

What a silly poll. But git at least works the same everywhere, no need for caniuse, transpilers and similar. Have any of you tried cvs, svn?

@owel Do you know about git reflog? You have to be quite persistent to truly lose work. Though of course, randomly running commands …
