Where to store asset images?

I was just curious, so far during the exercises and challenges I’ve been using image url’s from Google. However, if I wanted to create my own images in PS would I have to upload these images to let’s say Dropbox and then use that url or can I create a folder on my desktop and link the href to that directory? Thanks

You can check out Cloudinary. Right there you can upload your media (images, audio, video, etc.), and copy-paste the links they generate. You can even use their API for your web applications (Rails, PHP, Node, etc.)
