Hello everyone. I’m Frank from Los Angeles. Having trouble with this step. every time I test it says Your p elements should use the font Monospace. Everything looks good but no dice.
Your code so far
<style>.red-text {color: red;}.p{font-size:16px;}{font-family:Sans-serif;}</style>
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>

Everything looks right, still getting the same error message
<style>.red-text {color: red;}.p{font-size:16px;}{font-family:Monospace;}</style>
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>
Check that final pair of curly braces. All the style attributes for the p tag should go in a single pair of braces.
Also .p
means anything with the class p, not p elements…
<style>
.red-text {color: red;}
.p{font-size:16px;}{font-family:Monospace;}
</style>
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>
Use p
to style <p>
elements, not .p
(it means something different).
You also don’t put one property in its own pair of braces. It should look like this:
p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}

Great, Frank.
Please refrain from starting seperate threads on the same issue, though. I’ve merged these for readability.
