I have finished through the jQuery section of the Front End Libraries Certification, and passed Microsoft’s MTA 98-375 certification in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. I used that cert to get into WGU’s B.S. in C.S. program, which I am starting in January.
My plan was to walk this path to a B.S. in C.S. and then turn around and guide other people along the way. I think that’s unreasonable: too hard & too long. Instead, I think that just getting to employment in coding is enough path for me to guide on.
My background is that I taught Stats and wrote a Stats textbook, Data Matters. Since then, I have worked as a data scientist supporting market research and some usability.
