Hi. I’m sort of new(ish) to the coding universe. I’m working on an associates degree in computer science with emphasis in software development which will be completed in May 2020. I say “new(ish)” because I have academic experience, but I consider myself intermediate at best. As an adult learner, between a full-time class schedule and full-time job, I haven’t had much time to work on projects outside of the classroom. That’s something I’m trying to change.

Most of my experience so far deals with C++ and Java. I’ve taken web development classes and enjoy the visual appeal of web design, but in strategizing my final-semester job hunt I’m finding front-end web development is a bit crowded in my area. Nevertheless, I’m trying to hone my web development skills to create a well-rounded portfolio.
