If you haven’t heard, universities around the world are offering their courses online for free (or at least, partially free). These online courses are collectively called MOOCs or Massive Open Online Courses.

In the past ten years or so, over 1000 universities have created more than 20,000 such online courses. I’ve been keeping track of them this entire time here at Class Central, a search engine and reviews site for online education which has been used by 60 million learners around the world.

In the past six months alone, more than 200 universities — including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and a few Ivy League Schools — have announced over 1000 such free online courses. I’ve compiled this list below and categorized the courses into the following subjects:
